By accessing or using Theory of Change (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service. Description of Service

Theory of Change is an AI behavioral research platform that enables researchers and organizations to design, simulate, and analyze human behavioral experiments using synthetic AI personas. The platform provides tools for experiment setup, agent orchestration, persona simulation, and statistical analysis of results.

The Service is intended for academic research, market research, policy analysis, and other legitimate behavioral science applications.

User Conduct

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Conduct research that violates applicable laws or ethical standards
• Attempt to manipulate or deceive the AI systems underlying the platform
• Share access credentials or resell access to the Service without authorization
• Use simulation outputs to make decisions that directly harm individuals
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract proprietary models from the platform

Intellectual Property

All platform software, AI models, interfaces, and documentation are the intellectual property of Theory of Change. You retain ownership of research designs, prompts, and data you submit to the Service. By using the Service, you grant Theory of Change a limited license to process your inputs for the purpose of providing the Service.

Research outputs generated by the platform are owned by you, subject to compliance with these Terms.

Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Theory of Change is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including loss of data, inaccurate simulation results, or decisions made based on platform outputs.

In no event shall Theory of Change's total liability exceed the amounts paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in San Francisco County, California.
